Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to serve as our Day Shift Supervisor. This leadership role supports clinical excellence, staff development, quality assurance, and operational oversight across our sleep labs.

This position collaborates closely with and reports directly to the Clinical Director (RPSGT, RST). The ideal candidate is clinically strong, organized, adaptable, and confident in both independent work and team leadership.


Qualifications

  • Active RPSGT credential (verified through the BRPT)
  • Current Tennessee Polysomnography License
  • Strong knowledge of AASM standards and sleep lab best practices
  • Ability to work independently while following clinical direction
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with providers, staff, night technologists, and patients
  • Willingness to travel quarterly to other lab locations (mileage reimbursed)
  • Flexibility to assist with occasional after-hours calls or nights, as needed


Key Responsibilities

  • Train and onboard new sleep technologists
  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and clinical mentorship
  • Conduct daytime sleep studies as needed
  • Perform scoring and overscoring of sleep studies
  • Provide clinical oversight, quality control, and compliance monitoring
  • Assist with inter-scorer reliability (ISR) and quality improvement initiatives
  • Monitor lab inventory and assist with equipment troubleshooting
  • Support AASM accreditation requirements, audits, and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve processes and operational efficiency

This is a newly developed leadership position within our organization. The ideal candidate must be adaptable, solutions-oriented, and willing to support evolving responsibilities as the role continues to grow.
