Come be a part of the future of Sleep Medicine! Join our Clinical team in Rhode Island and help us improve the lives of countless patients suffering from sleep apnea! We're on a mission to make a positive impact on the lives of patients living with sleep disorders by simplifying the complex process from diagnosis to treatment.


This is an onsite position working at the clinical offices for Epoch Sleep Centers in Lincoln, RI and partnering office in East Providence, RI and Dartmouth, MA. This role requires working in a clinical setting.
 

The RT/RPGST provides high level patient service including but not limited to patient check-in, set up on CPAP, coaching, education, information, and assessments of patients needing CPAP Therapy. The RT/RPGST will have to maintain a working knowledge of all equipment being dispensed to patients. They will dispense equipment and check authorizations, create and process sales orders, in addition to completing modem enrollment for all new setups. The expectation of this position is to ensure that Epoch delivers compliance outreach to our patient base, increases overall compliance and outcomes, ensures all equipment provided has been authorized, catches and escalate issues when authorizations are not present and provides first-class patient experiences.


CORE RESEPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for working with patients face to face, virtually and over the phone for set-ups on CPAP therapy.
  • Create and process sales orders such as CPAP, mask, and mask refit and submits through Brightree or for reimbursement through manufacturer portals. Prepares and requests RMAs on all 30-day mask refits.
  • Responsible for answering phones or making outbound calls in a call center environment, addressing and resolving patient issues.
  • Explain co-pays and insurance coverage, and cash pay to patients as necessary. 
  • Create reports to locate, process and confirm all pick-up tickets.
  • Reviews patient files, both electronic and hard copy, for accuracy and for compliance with Epoch policy and procedures.
  • Acts as a resource (identify problems and provide solutions, implementing procedures, as needed) for all respiratory, and other HME equipment (indications, operation, maintenance, etc.) currently supplied by the company, as appropriate. 
  • Keeps the clean and dirty area neat and organized and within the requirements of the regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible for keeping all patient charts and information orderly, confidential, current and HIPAA compliant at all times. 
  • Works closely with internal teams to create clear open dialogue.
  • Downloads and cleans sleep study equipment as needed. 
  • Email/Fax compliance reports, notes to MD offices.
  • Travel to and working in other offices throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts will be required. 

Requirements

 QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • RT or RPSGT (meeting State Licensing requirements RI required RI and MA preferred) 
  • Must have an active BLS card 
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
  • Must be able to work overtime as scheduled 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (English required, Spanish or Portuguese is a strong plus)
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
  • Strong commitment to patient care, customer service, friendly, helpful and caring nature is required
  • Experience in Electronic Medical Records software is preferred, Brightree is a plus
