Job description

Medical Assistant/ Xray Technician

Mt. Baker Pain Clinic located in Bellingham, Washington is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant/X-Ray Technician to join our growing medical team. We specialize in the treatment of back, neck, and joint pain, sciatica, cancer-related pain, and other chronic pain conditions. Our mission is to help patients regain control of their lives through individualized, patient-centered pain management plans.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate C-Arm imaging equipment during procedures in our surgery center
  • Prepare procedure rooms and maintain strict sterile techniques
  • Sterilize medical equipment and operate autoclave
  • Room patients and assist providers in clinic
  • Create, update, and maintain accurate patient PHI within the EMR
  • Deliver high-quality patient care through in-person, telephone, and electronic communication
  • Work collaboratively with providers and clinical staff to support patient flow

Qualifications:

  • Dependable and punctual
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision while anticipating workflow needs
  • Adaptable, flexible, and team-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of human anatomy is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to wear a lead apron (approximately 15 lbs) while standing for a 10-hour shift

Education & Competencies:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • MA or NA Certification through the Washington State Department of Health (Must be willing to obtain X-Ray Certification through on-the-job training)
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation
  • Previous CMA or CNA experience preferred (Willing to train the right candidate to obtain MA-R)

Job Details:

  • Pay: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour
  • Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
