Job Summary

The Medical Assistant & X-Ray Technician supports physicians and clinical staff by performing both administrative, clinical, and diagnostic imaging duties to ensure efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and experienced in both medical assisting and radiologic imaging, with a strong commitment to patient care.


Key Responsibilities


Clinical & X-Ray Duties:

  • Room patients and record vital signs
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures
  • Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging as ordered by providers
  • Ensure proper radiation safety protocols are followed
  • Administer injections and medications as directed
  • Perform basic lab tests and specimen collection
  • Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain imaging equipment

Administrative Duties:

  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
  • Verify insurance and process referrals
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program (required)
  • Current X-Ray Technician certification / license (required)
  • Certification as CMA, RMA, or equivalent (preferred)
  • 1+ year of clinical experience (preferred)
  • Experience operating X-ray equipment in an urgent care or clinical setting
  • Knowledge of EMR systems
