Summary Description:  Reporting to the President and serving as a member of the Executive Cabinet, the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing provides visionary leadership for the University's comprehensive enrollment enterprise. The Vice President is responsible for developing and executing an integrated enrollment strategy that advances the University's mission, strengthens financial sustainability, and supports long-term institutional growth. The Vice President provides executive leadership for undergraduate, graduate, professional, adult, and online enrollment; admissions; student financial services; enrollment marketing and communications; and strategic enrollment operations.
The University's marketing and communications functions report to Enrollment Management and serve as strategic partners in achieving enrollment objectives. The Vice President provides executive oversight for institutional marketing, brand management, digital marketing, enrollment communications, content strategy, website strategy, social media, and market positioning to ensure a consistent, mission-centered institutional voice while supporting student recruitment across all academic programs.
As the University's chief enrollment strategist, the Vice President partners with Academic Affairs, Student Life, Finance, Athletics, Advancement, and Information Technology to create a seamless, student-centered enrollment experience from prospect through graduation. The Vice President uses data-informed decision making, market intelligence, and collaborative leadership to position Warner Pacific University for sustainable enrollment growth while advancing its Christ-centered mission, commitment to student success, and service to diverse communities.
Primary Job Duties:
Strategic Enrollment Leadership
  • Serve as the University's chief enrollment strategist leading the University's comprehensive Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM/SEP) planning process.
  • Develop multi-year enrollment, retention, and net tuition revenue goals that support the University's financial sustainability and mission.
  • Partner with Academic Affairs to assess market demand for existing and proposed academic programs and recommend opportunities for enrollment growth.
Enrollment Strategy & Operations
  • Provide executive leadership and direct supervision of Admissions, Student Financial Services and Enrollment Marketing and Communications.
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive recruitment strategies for all student populations, including first-time freshmen, transfer, graduate, professional, adult, online, and international students, as applicable.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of annual recruitment plans with measurable objectives, timelines, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with Student Success, Academic Affairs, and other campus partners to improve student persistence, retention, and successful transition throughout the student lifecycle.
  • Oversee and direct recruitment initiatives executed by contracting vendor partners. 
Financial Aid & Net Revenue Strategy
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive financial aid leveraging strategies that optimize enrollment, student access, and institutional financial sustainability while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and institutional regulations.
  • Lead institutional scholarship and discounting strategies to maximize enrollment outcomes and achieve approved net tuition revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Office to develop enrollment forecasts, tuition revenue projections, financial models, and annual budget assumptions.
  • Monitor key enrollment and financial performance indicators, including discount rates, yield, net tuition revenue, and return on investment for enrollment initiatives.
Marketing & Communications
  • Provide executive leadership for the University's integrated marketing and communications strategy in support of enrollment growth and institutional visibility.
  • Oversee enrollment marketing, digital marketing, website strategy, enrollment communications, content development, brand management, and market positioning across all student populations.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives effectively communicate Warner Pacific University's Christ-centered mission, academic strengths, and value proposition to prospective students and families.
  • Evaluate marketing effectiveness through performance metrics, market research, and return-on-investment analyses, making strategic adjustments to maximize enrollment outcomes.
Data, Technology & Analytics
  • Provide executive oversight for the University's enrollment technology to develop and monitor executive dashboards and key performance indicators that support enrollment forecasting, recruitment performance, financial aid optimization, and student success initiatives.  
  • Champion the effective use of technology, automation, artificial intelligence, and data-informed decision-making to improve enrollment effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and evaluate a high-performing enrollment leadership team committed to collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner collaboratively with Academic Affairs, Student Life, Finance, Advancement, Athletics, Information Technology, and other campus leaders to achieve institutional enrollment and student success goals.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives that improve enrollment processes, enhance operational effectiveness, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration.
  • Prepare and manage division budgets and ensure responsible stewardship of institutional resources in support of enrollment priorities.
External Relations & Institutional Leadership
  • Serve as a member of the President's Executive Cabinet and provide regular reports to senior leadership and the Board of Trustees regarding progress toward enrollment, retention, financial aid, and net tuition revenue goals. 
  • Provide high level briefings to keep leadership informed of market trends and related directional decisions.   
  • Represent Warner Pacific University within churches, schools, community colleges, employers, professional organizations, and community partners to strengthen institutional relationships and enrollment opportunities.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to a Christian liberal arts education by upholding the mission of the University and abiding by the Employment Standards and Lifestyle Agreement. Warner Pacific is affiliated with the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana), while fostering an inclusive and welcoming campus community that values diversity, equity, belonging and service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the President.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of eight years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education enrollment management, including minimum five years of experience at a supervisory level.
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution required, doctorate or other terminal degree preferred.
  • Experience leading comprehensive enrollment management functions, including admissions, recruitment, financial aid, enrollment marketing, and strategic enrollment planning.
  • Ability to lead organizational change, build high-performing teams, and foster collaboration across academic and administrative divisions.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget development, resource allocation, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively engage trustees, faculty, staff, students, donors, churches, community partners, and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Earned doctorate (Ed.D, Ph.D. or other terminal degree) in higher education, business, leadership, marketing or a related field.
  • Experience serving as a senior-level enrollment executive.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic enrollment plans that align with institutional mission and financial sustainability.
  • Expertise in financial aid leveraging, scholarship optimization, tuition discount management, and enrollment forecasting.
  • Experience leading integrated marketing and enrollment communication strategies, including digital marketing, brand management, and prospective student engagement.
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems (preferably Slate), enrollment technologies, and analytics tools to support recruitment, communication, and operational effectiveness. Ellucian Colleague experience desirable.
