The Vice President, Product - Pharmacy Network & Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is responsible for executive leadership of Optum's Pharmacy Network and Pharmacy RCM product portfolio. This leader will own end-to-end product strategy, roadmap development, execution, and lifecycle management for solutions supporting retail, specialty, outpatient, and medical-adjacent pharmacy workflows. Responsibilities include oversight of claims routing, eligibility, billing, edits, electronic prior authorization (ePA), and related network and revenue cycle capabilities.
This role provides strategic leadership for platform modernization initiatives, API-driven product capabilities, regulatory readiness, revenue integrity, operational excellence, and scalable growth. The Vice President will partner across Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Sales, Account Management, and Finance to deliver high-performing solutions that meet customer and market needs.

For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for Pharmacy Network and Pharmacy Revenue Cycle Management products
  • Lead a portfolio supporting pharmacy network operations, claims processing, eligibility services, billing, edits, ePA, and related pharmacy technology solutions
  • Drive modernization of legacy and emerging platforms, including API-enabled capabilities and scalable product architectures
  • Ensure operational excellence, revenue integrity, system reliability, and regulatory compliance across the product portfolio
  • Partner with Engineering and Technology leaders to prioritize investments, enhance platform capabilities, and accelerate product delivery
  • Collaborate with Operations, Compliance, Sales, Account Management, and Finance stakeholders to align product investments with business priorities and customer requirements
  • Lead major product launches, platform enhancements, and operational readiness activities
  • Build and develop high-performing teams of Directors, Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, and emerging leaders
  • Establish performance metrics and accountability frameworks that support growth, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance
  • Represent the product organization with senior executives, customers, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in product management, healthcare technology, pharmacy technology, revenue cycle management, or related healthcare services
  • Experience leading large cross-functional product organizations
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise product strategies
  • Experience partnering with technology, operations, compliance, and commercial organizations
  • Proven ability to manage complex, highly regulated products and services
  • Experience leading strategic initiatives across multiple business functions
  • Solid executive communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, Technology, or a related field
  • Pharmacy, PBM, claims processing, healthcare transactions, network management, or revenue cycle management experience
  • Experience managing large-scale platform modernization efforts
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks
  • Experience managing significant revenue-generating products and portfolios
  • Experience working with national health plans, providers, pharmacies, or healthcare technology organizations

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $200,400 to $343,500 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
