Overview
The Vice President, Strategy (VP) leads the strategy and planning process for assigned clients, while assisting in implementing strategic initiatives & constructs across Collective. The VP contributes to marketing and media strategy and builds solid relationships with clients and internal partners across levels and functions. They are able to manage, lead, and develop internal strategy team members' strategic abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current media industry news and brand business (current and historical perspectives) with a focus on upstream initiatives
  • Lead in creation of strategic approach that addresses Consumer, Brand, and Business tensions or opportunities
  • Elevate and provide critical thinking across a portfolio of brands + running projects
  • Guide and support internal teams in the application & positioning of strategic constructs & products
  • Guide and support team in data analysis to identify business, consumer, and brand insights to inform strategic approach to deliver business objectives, using syndicated and proprietary data resources
  • Drive innovation and thought leadership agenda both as a new business asset but equally within the agency to drive modern marketing solutions for our clients
  • Write and deliver strategies and POV's as well as oversee the translation of these strategies into the final audience recommendations
  • Provide vision, direction, management and support to individuals within the team to ensure their work aligns with our mission and goals
  • Be familiar with widely used and emerging insight tools and media technology, channels, and terminology
  • Form collaborative relationships with other agency capabilities, partner agency teams and third parties as necessary

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in media planning/strategy with progressive levels of responsibility
  • Proven track record of strategic leadership & oversight
  • Experience across all media types (national, local, digital, direct, programmatic, shopper, etc.)
  • Ability to translate data into viable business solutions to enhance strategies and meet deliverables
  • Ability to anticipate and quickly assess continually changing client needs and adapt resources and strategies accordingly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Excellent leadership ability to drive team to deliver results
  • Data storyteller and problem solver who can identify meaningful, singular, useable insights/tensions
  • Computer Skills/Software Knowledge: Microsoft Suite, Nielsen Suite, Kantar, IMS, Flowchart Software, R/F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, comScore, Prisma, Mbox, MRI/GfK, GWI.
  • Thorough and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Range: USD $159,695.00 - USD $255,645.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
