Job description

Job Duties: Vice President, Software Engineering with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, TX. Design, develop and support data pipelines and highly scalable APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) that provide accurate business data to other business groups within the Firm. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand new and changing business requirements, document them, and deliver software to drive business change. Provide data-driven insight and decision-making critical to the Firm's business processes. Develop and maintain data distribution infrastructure hosted on cloud such as Snowflake, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Design, implement and enforce data governance controls in data processes across divisions.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in job offered or a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience (with a Master's degree) OR four (4) years of experience (with a Bachelor's degree) with: Full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support; Python or Java; developing and supporting ETL jobs and data pipelines; Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) including Structured query language (SQL); control systems including Subversion (SVN) or Git; Cloud platforms including Snowflake, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP); and working with project management tools including JIRA.
