Job Summary:

As a Senior Vice President, Software Engineering Manager of the AI Platform Development team, you will drive the strategy, development, and delivery of the AI Platform, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to foster innovation and contribute to Blackstone's growth.
Responsibilities:
• Lead AI Platform development team, delivering shared AI/ML services, infrastructure and tooling.
• Partner with Lead Architect to define and execute the vision for the AI Platform as well as Agent and Tool Support.
• Deliver standardized, self‑service platform capabilities aligned with security, risk and compliance expectations.
• Contribute to the Platform Architecture function, defining reference architectures, standards and guardrails.
• Partner with data, cloud, security, risk and application teams to ensure platform alignment and control.
• Establish engineering standards for reliability, resilience, observability and controlled change.
• Build, develop, and retain high‑performing engineering talent.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 15+ years of software engineering experience, with strong command of Python, C#, Typescript and relevant technologies.
• Proven experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring teams of software engineers and technical professionals.
• Strong technical background in cloud native architectures (AWS + Azure), distributed systems, and shared services.
• Deep understanding of software development principles, architecture, and best practices.
• Demonstrated product mindset for internal platforms and developer enablement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging and influencing senior executives and business stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate through ambiguity and drive results.
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
