Vice President, Compliance - Life Insurance & Annuities
We are partnering with a growing and highly respected insurance organization seeking a VP, Compliance to support and lead enterprise compliance initiatives within its life insurance and annuity business.
This role will have broad exposure across compliance, operations, legal, risk, and executive leadership and will play a key role in strengthening regulatory processes, governance frameworks, and overall compliance strategy across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing enterprise compliance programs, policies, and regulatory initiatives
  • Managing consumer complaints, DOI inquiries, and regulatory matters
  • Supporting market conduct examinations, audits, and regulatory response efforts
  • Identifying compliance trends, operational risks, and remediation opportunities
  • Partnering cross-functionally with operations, legal, product, and business leadership
  • Advising leadership on regulatory developments and compliance best practices
  • Enhancing governance frameworks, internal controls, and compliance procedures
  • Supporting product compliance, policy reviews, and regulatory filing activities
  • Driving process improvements and operational efficiencies across compliance functions
  • Leading and mentoring compliance staff while fostering a strong culture of accountability and ethical conduct
  • Assisting with enterprise risk management and broader compliance strategy initiatives

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • 5+ years of life insurance and/or annuity compliance experience
  • Strong understanding of insurance regulatory frameworks and market conduct expectations
  • Experience managing regulatory inquiries, examinations, and operational compliance initiatives
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across the organization
  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
  • Experience within fast-paced, highly regulated insurance environments
