ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $160K-$180K
POSITION SUMMARY: A VP of Finance and IT (or often VP of Finance & Operations/Administration) is a senior executive overseeing an organization's financial health, strategic planning, IT infrastructure, and operational efficiency, bridging fiscal management with technology to drive growth, compliance, and scalability, requiring deep expertise in finance/accounting, ERP systems, leadership, and strategic vision. This hybrid role ensures financial reporting, budgeting, and risk management align with IT investments and digital strategy, supporting business objectives.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions Statements:
  1. Provides financial leadership: Budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, risk management, audit coordination, treasury, and ensuring compliance.
  2. IT Strategy: Overseeing IT infrastructure, systems (like ERPs), security, and aligning technology with business goals.
  3. Operational Efficiency: Streamlining processes, optimizing systems (finance & IT), and ensuring scalability.
  4. Strategic Planning: Advising executives, analyzing data, and making strategic decisions for growth and profitability.
  5. Assists in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and
    operating procedures.
  6. Serves as primary government liaison relative to financial issues.
  7. Communicates expectations to direct reports, delegating authority as appropriate. Supervises and develops staf
  8. Provides leadership to manage complex interdependencies between finance and IT, crucial for organizational growth.
  9. Collaborates with all departments and leaders of Goodwill Industries of San Diego County to
    develop, implement and manage processes and strategies to complete projects and assure
    best business practice
  10. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business required; CPA or MBA preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in finance/accounting, with management and leadership experience.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamic 365 Finance, Power BI), advanced Excel, and financial and real estate portfolio modeling.
Certificates & Licenses: Valid CA Driver's License with record acceptable to Goodwill's Insurance company.
Other: Must meet the background check requirements of the department.
