TITLE: SVP Wealth Management

DEPARTMENT: 980 - Wealth Management/Trust      


JOB SUMMARY: 

The SVP of Wealth Management is responsible for leading the strategic direction, development and management of the Wealth Management Department. This role will drive growth and profitability while coordinating investment and administrative functions. The Director will drive attainment of key performance targets including revenue, expense management, new client growth, product and service enhancements.   

In select markets, the Director will also be responsible for the efficient delivery of operational wealth management services to affiliate and outsourced banks. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Drive and evolve the strategic direction of the wealth management team, taking into consideration such factors as industry trends, regulatory environments, client feedback, revenue opportunity and competitive analysis. 
  • Partner across the organization to develop and implement scalable and efficient strategies to ensure consistent results and growth for wealth management and across the company. 
  • Develop and foster a climate of client and relationship focus, set the tone for effective, appropriate business development activities. 
  • Build strategic internal and external relationships to drive growth with emphasis on relationships with bank professionals. 
  • Drive day-to-day local operations, P&L management and provide daily leadership and management for the team. 
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop client materials, promotional activities and sales strategies. 
  • Proactively manage risk, audit and compliance issues and communicates all issues to executive leadership. 
  • Participate in the Wealth Management Board Committee to discuss significant items related to Wealth Management. 
  • Report updates to the wealth management committee and company stakeholders regarding progress on strategic and business goals. 
  • Lead the executive trust and wealth management committees; participate as a voting member of the trust and investment committees. 
  • Hire, develop, motivate, and train staff, including planning and delegating work assignments and projects.  
  • Evaluate performance, administer touch points and deliver performance evaluations. 
  • Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable to performance and behaviors aligned with our culture.  
  • Understand and administer compensation based on pay for performance philosophy, including merit increases and variable pay. 
  • Participate in community engagement events. This can include professional, civic and community groups. 
  • Comply with all company or regulatory policies, procedures and requirements applicable to this position. 
  • Foster and preserve a culture of inclusion. 
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required to support the company's mission, vision and values.  

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or other related field or equivalent experience.  JD, CFP or CTFA designation preferred. 
  • Ten years' experience in investment management, trust management, or financial planning. 
  • Significant experience in business development and client relationship management activities. 
  • Five years' leadership and management experience, preferably including management of multiple business lines. 
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Ability to analyze complex financial information and organize data in an easy-to-understand manner. 
  • Experience with Strategic Planning and product positioning. 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

  • Duties are performed in a professional office environment. 
  • Occasional travel required. 


SALARY & BENEFITS:

The minimum salary range for this position is $160,000 annually. The actual starting salary will be based on qualifications and business needs and may vary, as permitted by applicable state law.

This position is a regular full-time position and individuals employed as regular full-time are eligible for the following benefits subject to the terms, limitations and conditions of each benefit plan: Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, FSA, HSA, 401K, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and additional Voluntary Supplemental Insurance.
