JOB SUMMARY

As a key member of a highly collaborative senior leadership team, the Vice President, Global Project Hub is responsible for the global alignment and integration of project management and project controls methodologies, processes, tools, and best practices that enable consistent, high-quality project delivery across Universal Creative’s portfolios.

As the leader of the Global Project Hub, the Vice President leads a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts (estimating, planning and scheduling, project management processes, logistics, architectural and engineering design, and construction). The Hub serves as a centralized, strategic resource to project teams worldwide by building and sustaining the standards, tools, and support systems required for predictable performance, transparency, and continuous improvement.

In partnership with the Creative Studio, park portfolios and project leadership, this role strengthens project outcomes by enabling effective planning, budgeting, estimating, scheduling, design coordination, construction execution, and commissioning. The Vice President drives adoption of consistent ways of working, improves decision-quality through data and insights, and builds scalable capabilities that support projects being delivered on time, on budget, and on brand.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Global Project Hub
    • Set the vision and operating model for the Global Project Hub, aligning priorities and services to organizational objectives (including transformation initiatives). Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts (estimating, planning and scheduling, project management processes, logistics, architectural and engineering design, and construction) that consistently supports global project teams.
    • Develop, implement, and continuously improve standardized methodologies, templates, tools, and training that increase consistency, quality, and efficiency across global portfolios. Drive adoption of fit-for-purpose technology and innovative delivery approaches that improve scalability and performance.
    • Serve as a strategic partner to portfolio and project leadership by providing coaching, governance, and hands-on support throughout the project lifecycle—from early estimating and planning through closeout.
    • Oversee data standards, analytics, and reporting to enhance performance visibility, forecast risk, and enable proactive decision-making across the global project portfolio, while partnering with portfolio teams to support hiring strategies that ensure the right talent and role alignment.
  • Project Oversight, Governance & Enablement
    • Provide functional leadership through designated subject matter experts within the Global Project Hub (GPH), partnering cross-functionally with project teams and portfolio leadership to support the successful setup, coordination, and execution of projects in alignment with approved schedules and budgets. While not directly accountable for project delivery, this role enables project success through governance, strategic guidance, meetings, site engagement, proactive issue mitigation, and facilitation of conflict resolution across the project lifecycle.
    • Develop and implement tools, processes, and governance frameworks to enable successful project execution and alignment with organizational goals, establishing clear status, schedule, and budget reporting while ensuring documentation, controls, and approvals are maintained through project completion.
    • Mentor, develop, and inspire portfolio and project leaders, along with team members operating within a dotted-line reporting structure to the leadership function, cultivating a high-performance culture grounded in innovation, empowerment, authenticity, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.
    • Establish and maintain strategic relationships across Universal Creative, Universal Destinations & Experiences, and external partners throughout the design, development, and delivery lifecycle, ensuring cross-functional alignment, organizational integration, and adherence to project objectives, quality standards, and delivery expectations.
    • Support the pre-qualification, procurement, and selection of consultants, contractors, vendors, manufacturers, and fabricators, establishing clear expectations for performance and delivery, while ensuring adherence to project procedures for correspondence, RFIs, directives, shop drawings, submittals, meeting documentation, punch/deficiency tracking, notices, and pay applications through training and periodic portfolio reviews.
    • Establish, maintain, and oversee project controls processes, including change management governance, monthly financial deep dives, forecasting, reporting, and other project controls functions necessary to support effective project planning, transparency, accountability, and informed decision-making across global portfolios.
    • Serve as the interim project delivery support team for the Creative Studio through 100% concept development, providing strategic expertise and guidance in estimating, planning and scheduling, constructability, architectural and engineering design coordination, and related pre-development functions to support informed project definition, feasibility, and execution readiness.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
