Job Description:
The Vice President (VP) of Data Strategy and Insights will serve as a leader in the Strategy and Insights offerings of Snow Companies. The VP, Data Strategy and Insights must be able to exercise independent judgment, process complicated situations quickly with discernment, prioritize and complete multiple tasks with deadlines that may overlap, and identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment. The VP, Data Strategy and Insights must be up-to-date and comfortable with changes in pharmaceutical and FDA legal, regulatory and compliance landscape, data management and analytics platforms, program management tools, and social media management and production tools.
The VP, Data Strategy and Insights will effectively guide collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, including clients, company partners, and various vendors. The VP, Data Strategy and Insights must consider the patient and caregiver perspective as well as biotechnological and pharmaceutical needs and be able to make observations and decisions based on those trends, then communicate those trends to scale a growing department.
The VP, Data Strategy and Insights will be responsible for managing a team of strategists, insights researchers and/or data analysts. The VP, Data Strategy and Insights must have enough experience design fluency to connect patient journeys, service experiences, and engagement strategies to measurable KPIs that demonstrate success for both the patient experience and the client's market objectives. In addition, the VP, Data Strategy and Insights will leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to effectively communicate value and impact of Snow's core programming and offerings, through the lens of the patient experience and client value. They will use that information to advise on how best provide value for patients and how best to optimize client patient engagement initiatives along the healthcare continuum.
Snow's business is centered around the patient journey, and the VP, Data Strategy and Insights, like all positions at Snow, must be open, compassionate, and sensitive to the unique life experiences of these patients and caregivers. The VP, Data Strategy and Insights must be able to set the standard and train to that standard when incorporating the unique patient/caregiver experience into the strategies and solutions we provide to our clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The VP must be able to perform the following essential duties and functions:
General Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic evolution of Snow's data engagement, analytics, measurement, and performance optimization offerings across pharmaceutical and biotech client accounts, ensuring insights, KPIs, reporting standards, dashboards, benchmarking, case studies, and measurement frameworks are integrated into direct-to-patient, multi- and omnichannel engagement programs from planning through optimization.
Translate client objectives, patient journeys, and intended experience outcomes into strategic data engagement direction by developing KPIs, reporting approaches, dashboards, optimization recommendations, and measurement frameworks that demonstrate both patient value and business impact.
Partner with Experience Design, Strategy, Creative, AI/Digital, Technology Solutions, Account, and Program teams to connect experience maps, service blueprints, user research, patient needs, and accessibility considerations to clear measurement plans, KPIs, and optimization opportunities.
Connect patient journeys, experience maps, service blueprints, user research, and accessibility considerations to KPIs, measurement frameworks, dashboards, and optimization recommendations that demonstrate both patient experience value and client business impact.
Provide senior oversight for data extraction, consolidation, analysis, visualization, dashboarding, and reporting across marketing, CRM, database, and engagement platforms, ensuring key metrics such as registration, attendance, qualitative evaluation findings, delivery, open rates, click rates, conversion, opt-outs, retention, engagement quality, and other KPIs are accurate, compliant, complete, and client-ready.
Lead the development and communication of actionable insights and strategic recommendations based on program performance, audience behavior, engagement trends, research findings, qualitative and quantitative insights, and business objectives, translating complex findings into clear, client-ready narratives for direct and C-level clients.
Independently prepare for, lead, and present client-facing work within the data, strategy, and insights discipline, including performance reporting, measurement plans, strategic recommendations, optimization roadmaps, and executive-level insights.
Partner with Account, Strategy, Experience Design, Creative, AI/Digital, Technology Solutions, Database Management, Programs, Call Center, Project Management, analytics, and other internal teams to activate insights, identify opportunities for applied data science, and translate segmentation, predictive analytics, test design, personalization, and performance optimization into actionable engagement strategies and business recommendations.
Support RFPs, proposals, SOW development, pricing, scoping, project plans, timelines, dependencies, and resourcing for analytics, reporting, dashboarding, research, measurement, and data strategy projects.
Develop and maintain benchmark goals, measurement standards, performance norms, case studies, thought leadership, tools, dashboards, reporting approaches, and data engagement offerings that demonstrate impact, foster innovation, and support business development.
Mentor, train, and provide technical and strategic guidance to analytics team members, engagement strategists, and cross-functional partners while establishing and improving standards for measurement planning, reporting, dashboarding, insight development, documentation, client presentations, and data engagement initiatives.
Stay current on legal, regulatory, healthcare, pharmaceutical marketing, data privacy, digital advertising, email marketing, analytics, and platform policy changes, and support regulatory and compliance submissions as needed.
Independently own complex projects through completion, delegate effectively, provide solutions to clients and internal stakeholders, and accept accountability for project outcomes.
Help cultivate a collaborative, inspiring team environment that encourages open communication, accountability, curiosity, continuous improvement, and positive cross-functional partnership.
Qualifications & Skills
8+ years of related healthcare and/or pharmaceutical experience preferred
Bachelor's degree required in marketing, business, data analytics, statistics, economics, information systems, communications, public health, healthcare administration, user experience, service design, experience design, psychology, or a related field.
Advanced degree, MBA, MPH, MS in Analytics/Data Science, or related graduate degree preferred.
Working knowledge of experience design, service design, patient journey mapping, experience mapping, service blueprinting, user research, accessibility considerations, and/or design strategy, with the ability to connect designed patient experiences to KPIs, measurement frameworks, and performance recommendations.
Leader who is comfortable with minimal day-to-day guidance and independently prioritizing and managing people and deadlines
Experience and expertise in data visualization, business intelligence, data story-telling and dashboard tools, including the below or similar platforms:

Weekend and Night Work:
Although your day-to-day work should primarily take place during regular office hours, there will be occasions when you are required to work late into the evening and/or over the weekend. This includes working on the weekends.
