Job Description

*This role does require coming into the client's Downtown Houston office 4x/week*

The Vice President, Program Management is a senior delivery leader who operates at the intersection of operational excellence, commercial discipline, and client value creation. This role drives the EDGE connected delivery model across a complex portfolio โ€” ensuring that scope, staffing, financial performance, and outcome delivery are integrated from opportunity through optimization.

The ideal VP, Program Management is a critical thinker and natural problem solver โ€” someone who can read a situation quickly, connect disparate information, and design solutions in real time. Delivery rarely goes exactly to plan. What separates great delivery leaders is not their ability to follow process when things are smooth, but their ability to think clearly, act decisively, and keep teams moving forward when things are not.

This leader sits at the intersection of operational rigor, creative partnership, and client value creation โ€” combining strategic agility with a codified delivery methodology to create a client experience that is predictable, accountable, and genuinely differentiated. This role is not back-office operations. It is a strategic differentiator.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Leadership. Lead an increasingly complex portfolio of programs across one or more clients ($20M+), with full accountability for delivery health, margin realization, and client outcome performance across the engagement lifecycle.

EDGE Delivery System. Operate as a champion and practitioner of the EDGE connected delivery framework โ€” ensuring that every engagement runs from a defined business outcome, with validated scope, aligned staffing, and shared financial visibility across CS, Delivery, Finance, and Capabilities.

AI-Augmented Delivery. Lead the integration of AI tools into delivery infrastructure across your portfolio โ€” not as an experiment, but as the operating model. Drive adoption of AI in briefing, resourcing, QA, reporting, and financial forecasting. Build the 30โ€“40% AI-augmented delivery engine that separates Razorfish from legacy agency models in client perception.

CRM & Growth Delivery. Oversee delivery of CRM and personalization programs that drive measurable client business outcomes. Partner with CS and Capabilities to connect CRM execution to revenue, retention, and lifetime value โ€” and bring that measurement story into every QBR.

Critical Thinking & Real-Time Solutioning. Diagnose delivery challenges as they emerge and solution on the fly โ€” without waiting for perfect information. Connect root causes across scope, staffing, financial performance, and client expectations to design recovery paths that protect both delivery quality and commercial health. Be the person in the room who sees around corners and brings clarity when teams are stuck.

Commercial Discipline. Own scope integrity and margin performance. Ensure scopes are validated before commitment, staffing decisions involve delivery input, and financial baselines are set before work begins. Lead difficult scoping conversations with executive clients to drive trade-offs that protect both client outcomes and internal commercial health.

Connected Team Leadership. Eliminate the internal friction that undermines delivery. Champion One Team governance across CS, Finance, Capabilities, and cross-agency partners โ€” so that resources, decisions, and accountability are shared rather than siloed. Ensure clients feel a unified, integrated team โ€” not a roster of disciplines.

Outcome Measurement. Build and own the delivery reporting layer that connects execution to business KPIs. Walk into every QBR with a direct line from delivery activity to client business outcomes. This is the credibility that earns Razorfish the strategic seat at the table โ€” and keeps it.

Anchor Account Leadership. Serve as the senior delivery lead on one or more large anchor accounts โ€” maintaining deep client relationships at the executive level, driving strategic delivery planning, and ensuring that the account receives the continuity, intentionality, and quality of oversight that protects both the client relationship and commercial performance.

PM Team Leadership. Manage, coach, and grow a team of Program Managers across your portfolio. Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and create the development pathways that build the next generation of delivery leaders. Foster a culture of accountability, craft excellence, and continuous improvement. Ensure the team operates from shared standards and has the support to grow.

Process & Governance. Drive adoption of standardized delivery models, SOW templates, onboarding protocols, and escalation paths. Pilot AI and workflow innovations and build organizational governance so that best practices scale rather than stay on individual accounts.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of delivery leadership in a fast-paced agency environment, with direct accountability for portfolios of $20M+
  • Demonstrated experience managing and growing large anchor accounts โ€” serving as the senior delivery relationship owner with C-suite and executive-level clients across multi-year engagements
  • Proven track record of managing, coaching, and developing teams of Program Managers โ€” with the ability to set standards, build capability, and grow talent at multiple levels
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex digital programs across CRM, web, social, media, and AI-enabled channels
  • Deep fluency in financial management โ€” margin, burn, forecasting, and commercial risk โ€” with the ability to lead scope and pricing conversations at the executive level
  • Working knowledge of AI delivery tools and a clear point of view on how to integrate them into delivery operations, not just reference them as a future capability
  • Experience operating within connected, cross-functional models (CS, Finance, Capabilities) with clear accountability frameworks
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to build trust with senior clients, negotiate on complex program matters, and drive to resolution on conflicting expectations
  • Fluency in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies for large, complex programs
  • Experience with Workfront or similar workflow and delivery management platforms
  • A track record of building and developing high-performing delivery teams โ€” with a coaching mentality and a bias toward talent density on key accounts
