    POSITION PURPOSE:

    The Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) serves as a strategic leader and collaborative partner to executive leadership in advancing the mission, vision, values, and long-term goals of Aviva Health. This position provides leadership, direction, and oversight for all Human Resources (HR) functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development, performance management, compliance, and organizational development.

    The VP of HR develops and implements strategic HR initiatives, policies, and programs that support organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, workforce development, and a positive workplace culture. This role partners closely with leaders and departments across the organization to promote collaboration, operational efficiency, and consistent employment practices while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

    The VP of HR oversees HR operations through the use of data, metrics, and analytics to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. This position also champions diversity, equity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunity practices while fostering respectful and productive employee and labor relations. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the VP of HR plays a key leadership role in strengthening organizational performance and supporting the long-term success of both the workforce and the organization as a whole.


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
    • Provide leadership in talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement, and retention
    • Oversee all HR operations to ensure efficient, compliant, and employee-focused services
    • Develop and administer HR policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with applicable laws
    • Lead employee relations, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes
    • Promote a culture grounded in accountability, integrity, collaboration, diversity, equity, and inclusion
    • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and leadership development initiatives
    • Direct compensation and benefits programs, including market analysis and vendor partnerships
    • Ensure compliance with employment laws, leave programs (FMLA, OFLA, ADA), and workers' compensation processes
    • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce and organizational development matters
    • Mentor and develop HR staff and support succession planning efforts


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Five (5) years of experience in a senior HR leadership role
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's preferred
    • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
    • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and organizational development
    • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization
    • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Valid Oregon driver's license with clean driving record
