Guided by our vision to create financial solutions that make lives better, we are looking for a Vice President of Wealth Management to provide strategic leadership for our investment services program and help expand the financial well-being of our members and communities.
The Vice President of Wealth Management is responsible for leading and growing Oregon State Credit Union's Wealth Management program, providing direction to advisors and support staff while ensuring a productive, compliant, and member-focused operation. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and serving as a key organizational leader, this position partners closely with advisors, branch leadership, marketing, and executive management to drive business growth, develop strategic initiatives, strengthen member relationships, and expand awareness of investment services throughout the communities we serve. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and results-oriented leader with deep expertise in investment services, strong business acumen, and a passion for coaching high-performing teams.
What you will need to be successful:
โ€ข InvestmentServices & Wealth Management Expertise: Extensive knowledge of investment and insurance products, wealth management strategies, suitability standards, and regulatory requirements. Strong understanding of investment services operations, compliance practices, advisor supervision, and program development with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and enhanced member value.
โ€ข StrategicLeadership & Business Development: Demonstrated success developing and executing business plans, production goals, and growth strategies. Proven ability to identify new business opportunities, strengthen referral partnerships, expand market awareness, and position wealth management as a core component of the member experience.
โ€ข TalentDevelopment & Team Leadership: Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing licensed financial professionals and support teams. Skilled at building an engaged, accountable, and member-centric culture while fostering collaboration, professional growth, and strong performance. Management and sales coaching experience required.
โ€ข Communication, Collaboration & Relationship Building: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build trust across all levels of the organization. Demonstrated success partnering with executive leadership, operational teams, advisors, vendors, and regulatory partners while navigating complex situations with sound judgment and professionalism.
โ€ข RiskManagement & Compliance: Strong understanding of investment services compliance requirements, suitability standards, and regulatory expectations. Experience overseeing compliant programs, managing policy and procedure development, and working with supervisory and compliance partners to address regulatory matters effectively.
โ€ข Experience& Education: Twelve years of experience in the investment and insurance industry with prior management experience required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required. Series 7, 63, and 65 (or 66) licenses with a clean FINRA record are preferred. Oregon Insurance License required.
