Fractional VP of Recruiting – Strategy & Advisory

Location: Park Ridge, IL | Initially Onsite, Later Remote

Hours: 10 Hours/Week

Type: Contract | 3-Month Initial Engagement with Potential Extension

About the Role

Peterson Technology Partners (PTP) is looking for an experienced Fractional VP of Recruiting to work directly with our CEO and provide strategic guidance on building a more efficient, scalable, and high-performing recruiting organization.

This is a strategic advisory role, not a recruiting management position. We are looking for someone who can assess our current recruiting model, challenge existing approaches, and provide practical recommendations around strategy, processes, metrics, team structure, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with the CEO on recruiting strategy and organizational effectiveness
  • Evaluate current recruiting processes, workflows, and performance
  • Establish and refine KPIs, KRAs, SLAs, and recruiter productivity metrics
  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements
  • Advise on sourcing strategy, candidate engagement, recruiter productivity, and accountability
  • Recommend changes to team structure, technology, workflows, and operating models
  • Develop practical strategies to improve recruiting efficiency, quality, and business alignment
  • Provide leadership with a clear roadmap for building a high-performing recruiting organization

Important: This role will work directly with the CEO and leadership team. The individual will not directly manage or intervene with PTP's recruiting team. PTP leadership will own implementation of recommendations.

What We're Looking For

  • 12+ years of recruiting / talent acquisition experience
  • 5+ years of experience in recruiting strategy, process improvement, or recruiting leadership
  • Strong background in IT Staffing, Staffing, or Technology Services
  • Proven experience building high-performing recruiting teams and processes
  • Strong understanding of recruiting KPIs, KRAs, SLAs, productivity, and accountability
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical ability, and executive communication skills
  • Experience advising CEOs or senior leadership teams preferred

Engagement Details

  • Approximately 10 hours per week
  • Initially onsite at our Park Ridge, IL office
  • Opportunity to transition to remote after the initial onsite period
  • 3-month initial contract, with potential for extension
