Vice President of Engineering (Semiconductor)

We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a pioneering AI semiconductor company redefining how intelligence is deployed at the edge. The company has developed a breakthrough processing architecture enabling ultra-efficient, real-time intelligence across devices operating outside traditional cloud environments -- addressing critical industry challenges in power consumption, latency, privacy, security, and scalability.

The organization is entering a significant growth phase as customer adoption accelerates across global markets.

The Role

The VP of Engineering will lead global engineering, product development, software, silicon architecture, and technology commercialization. Reporting to the CEO and serving on the executive leadership team, this executive will transform innovative technology into scalable commercial products while driving organizational growth and customer success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and execute the technology and product roadmap in partnership with Product and R&D
  • Lead global engineering organizations spanning silicon design, chip architecture, software, AI/ML, systems, and product engineering
  • Drive next-generation products from concept through commercialization
  • Partner with strategic customers and ecosystem partners to accelerate adoption
  • Establish scalable development processes, quality systems, and organizational structures
  • Build and mentor high-performing technical leadership teams

Required Qualifications
  • 20+ years of technology leadership with a track record of delivering commercially successful SoC products
  • Proven success leading engineering and product development organizations
  • Experience bringing complex hardware/software platforms to market
  • Strong background in semiconductor technologies, AI acceleration, embedded computing, or advanced system architectures
  • Demonstrated ability to scale organizations during rapid growth
  • Experience managing geographically distributed engineering teams
