Job description

The Role

We're hiring our first dedicated retail AE. This is a full-cycle role - you build your own pipeline, run your own deals, and close. You'll be selling into VP Digital, VP eCommerce, and VP Loyalty at omnichannel retailers. You know this world, you have relationships in it, and you're motivated by the chance to define a category. Competitive base plus uncapped commission. OTE range: $180,000-$240,000. Equity included.

What You'll Do

Source, qualify, and close net-new retail accounts with no inbound dependency. Run multi-threaded deals across commerce, digital, and technical stakeholders. Build and manage your own pipeline in CRM with disciplined forecasting. Collaborate with our technical team to scope proofs of concept and translate merchant requirements into clear SOWs. Represent Satsuma at industry events and use your network as an asset from day one.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

5+ years in B2B enterprise sales, with at least 3 years selling into retail or omnichannel brands. A real network - you can name VP-level contacts at midmarket and enterprise retailers and get them to take a call. Experience selling integration platforms, commerce technology, or SaaS infrastructure is a strong plus. Comfort with technical buyers and the ability to hold your own in a conversation about APIs, loyalty systems, and commerce stacks. You prefer to hunt. You're energized by building pipeline from scratch, not managing an inbound queue.

Benefits

  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
  • Free Food & Snacks
  • Gym covered
  • Wellness Resources
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Stock Option Plan
