Job description

POSITION DESCRIPTION, MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS AND HIRING PROFILE
Salary Range: $175,000 to $200,000
Position Overview:
The Regional Vice President (RVP) is responsible for leading wastewater collection operations across multiple branch locations. This role champions a strong safety culture by ensuring the safety of employees, customers, and the public is considered in every decision and reinforced through daily operations. The RVP also leads a team of Branch Operations Managers to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain responsiveness to customer needs, and drive operational excellence.
This position is responsible for building and developing a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, clear communication of expectations, and accountability for results. The RVP oversees execution of the regional operating plan to achieve revenue, productivity, and profitability goals, including service delivery, staffing, budget performance, and overall regional profit and loss management. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.
Essential Functions:
  • Lead and develop Branch Operations Managers responsible for the performance and daily operations of their respective branch locations.
  • Promote and maintain an injury and incident-free operating environment through strong safety leadership and accountability.
  • Achieve regional business objectives by driving results, addressing obstacles, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Maintain full profit and loss responsibility for the region.
  • Develop and manage the region's annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels to support revenue goals and deliver high-quality customer service.
  • Identify operational improvement opportunities and lead innovation initiatives that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives that support continuous improvement across the Services & Solutions organization.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior representatives at key local and state regulatory agencies.
  • Review operational, financial, and forecast data to assess regional performance against established goals and objectives.
  • Partner regularly with the executive team and department leaders to align regional priorities with overall company strategy.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of written standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Operations to execute strategic initiatives established in partnership with the executive team.
  • Ensure regional operations comply with all applicable regulations, company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Represent the Company in the community and with customers and vendors in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with employees, management, clients, vendors, and external partners.
  • Coordinate with other departments and regions across Liquid Environmental Solutions to support enterprise goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions.
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of five years of profit and loss management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and six to ten years of relevant experience.
  • Leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or another service delivery environment preferred.
  • Professional presence and sound business judgment.

Working Environment:
  • General office environment.
  • Fast-paced setting that may involve multiple priorities, problem-solving, and time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Occasional light lifting and bending may be required.
  • Extended periods of sitting may be required.
  • Travel required as business needs dictate.
