About the Company

About the Role

As VP of Engineering, you’ll lead a national, multidisciplinary team responsible for the full lifecycle of engineering — from concept through construction and operations. You’ll oversee design standards, implement modern tools and automation, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and on budget.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and scale a high-performing team of electrical, civil, mechanical, and structural engineers
  • Oversee engineering execution across PV and BESS projects from early development through operations
  • Establish technical standards, QA/QC protocols, and design best practices
  • Collaborate with development, construction, procurement, and O&M teams
  • Drive innovation through AI tools, automation, and modern software platforms
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, ASCE, AISC, UL, and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as the technical authority on complex engineering and design issues
  • Develop engineering talent for the future

What We’re Looking For

  • 12+ years of progressive engineering experience (5+ in a senior leadership role)
  • Background in utility-scale renewable energy, EPC, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of power systems, energy storage, and utility interconnection
  • Proven experience leading geographically diverse engineering teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited); PE license
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and team-building skills

Why Join Strata Clean Energy?

  • Make a direct impact on the future of sustainable energy
  • Join a passionate and mission-driven team of industry leaders
  • Competitive compensation + bonus
  • Benefits offered:
    • Comprehensive high-deductible health plans
    • Dental and vision insurance
    • Short- and long-term disability
    • Group life insurance
    • 401(k) with corporate matching
    • Health Saving Account (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Account (FSAs)
  • Competitive PTO and company holidays

Be the force behind tomorrow’s energy solutions.
