We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Infrastructure Engineering (Mainframe Systems Software) to join our TSG Mainframe Services team. This role is located in Jersey City
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Oversee a broad range of delivery projects to fulfill both hardware and software Lifecycle Management. Responsible for managing the teams that administer multiple Mainframes running on z/OS systems using various technologies like JCL, DB2, IMS, CICS, Source code management, SDLC practices and Security mechanisms such as ACF2, RACF and TSS.
  • Responsible for rethinking the assumptions behind how traditional services are built and thinking about how to modernize, enhance and continuously improve capabilities through innovation and automation.
  • Leverage your breadth of experience to lead the organization through cross-functional and collaborative efforts. Partner with solutioning Data center services, Production Services Application Developers to shape new opportunities.
  • An engaged and motivated contributor, you will see the value in our team. Coach, mentor and leverage our talent management processes to effectively lead managers, build your talent and create a highly engaged team.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • **EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS: ** - bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - Advanced certifications in infrastructure engineering or related disciplines preferred. **EXPERIENCE: ** Typically 6-10 years of experience.
  • **SKILLS: ** - Expertise in infrastructure design and implementation. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective collaboration and communication abilities.
  • 10+ years of diverse experience in multiple areas of information technology required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Experienced in diverse mainframe technical environments. Experienced in one or more mainframe infrastructure, hardware, system programming technologies and/or application development. Alternative experiences must include high learning agility to acquire mainframe technology knowledge and apply previous experiences to achieve operational outcomes.
  • Direct Mainframe experience is a necessity as is the ability to lead a technical team, build relationships, and possess a strategic mindset to drive the team to successful outcomes.
  • Possess communication skills to appropriately lead at the client/team/Business unit levels.
  • Experienced leading complex projects and programs.
  • Experience in tooling, utilities, and data transport,
  • Experience in Architecture and design principles
  • Skilled communicator that can influence internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels and be able to navigate complex technical topics and communicate them with clarity, brevity, and impact. Able to manage up, down and across organizations, clients and/or functions.

Preferred
  • Knowledge in one or more areas of mainframe discipline.
  • ITIL or ITSM oversight or expertise in Release, Change and CMDB
  • Installation knowledge of ISV SW and IBM Operating systems
  • Knowledge of z/OS, PARMLIB, Unix SYSTEMS services, HCD
  • Knowledge of SMP/E or maintenance routines if applicable
  • Knowledge in JCL
  • Knowledge system IPL processes
  • Knowledge of ISPF/TSO
  • Framework experience in building and maintaining a mainframe platform

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $68,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
