Summary

The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, administration, and optimization of Legendary's hybrid IT infrastructure. This includes core systems across on-premises data centers, cloud environments (AWS, Office 365), and production SaaS platforms (Box, Frame.io, Elements, NetApp, Synology). The role ensures system reliability, scalability, and security while supporting production and corporate teams. This position operates as a senior individual contributor (IC) within the Technology team, reporting to the VP, Infrastructure Technology.


Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure & Systems Administration
  • Manage and maintain datacenter systems, including VMware, Aspera, and on-prem server infrastructure.
  • Oversee corporate and production storage platforms (NetApp, Synology, Elements).
  • Implement and maintain system backups for server and on-set production data.
  • Integrate and optimize new storage solutions for evolving production needs.
  • Cloud & SaaS Management
  • Serve as platform owner for Box, Frame.io, and Office 365 environments.
  • Administer AWS resources and external DNS.
  • Ensure seamless integration between SaaS platforms and corporate infrastructure.
  • Device & Identity Management
  • Act as platform owner for Intune and Jamf MDM systems.
  • Manage identity integrations and app assignments within Okta and Active Directory.
  • Oversee domain management and system access provisioning.
  • Security & Operations
  •  Define and enforce security policies across all managed systems.
  • Retrieve, review, and act on system and application logs for incident response.
  • Support Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalations; collaborate with Service Desk, Cyber Security,  and IT Operations teams.
  • Innovation & Support
  • Evaluate and test new infrastructure products and workflows.
  • Provide user interface training and operational support.
  • Support on-site production environments, including infrastructure assessments and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure administration.
  • Expertise in VMware, NetApp, AWS, Office 365, and MDM solutions (Intune/Jamf).
  • Strong understanding of identity management and security architecture (Okta, AD).
  • Proven ability to manage hybrid (on-prem + cloud + SaaS) environments.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
  • Microsoft, VMware, or AWS certifications a plus.
  • Operates independently with ownership of multiple critical platforms.
  • Balances production support urgency with long-term infrastructure planning.
  • Demonstrates a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
