POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Vice President of Sales is a strategic leader responsible for directing and advancing the sales initiatives within the Midwest region. This role involves overseeing the entire spectrum of sales operations, driving revenue growth, and fostering key client relationships to ensure the sustained success and expansion of the region. This region consists of three major branches located in Chicago, Cleveland, and Omaha with multiple offices throughout the Midwest.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Regional Oversight:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all sales operations within the Midwest region.
  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies in alignment with organizational objectives.

Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse sales team, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. 7-10 Direct Reports
  • Provide ongoing coaching, professional development, and performance feedback to regional sales managers and executives.

Client Relationship Management:
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the region.
  • Collaborate with the sales teams to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.

Sales Performance Evaluation:
  • Oversee the evaluation of individual and team performance against set targets and key performance indicators.
  • Implement corrective measures and provide strategic feedback for continuous improvement.

Market Expansion and New Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, market segments, and strategic partnerships within the region.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales teams to expand the customer base and increase market share.

Regional Sales Forecasting and Budgeting:
  • Lead the development of regional sales forecasts and budgets in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor actual performance against forecasts, analyze variances, and take corrective action as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate effectively with other regions, marketing, product development, finance, and other departments to align strategies.
  • Ensure seamless communication and cooperation between regions and functional areas.

Reporting and Analysis:
  • Generate regular reports on regional sales performance, trends, and forecasts.
  • Utilize data analysis to derive actionable insights for strategic decision-making.

Key Account Management:
  • Oversee and nurture key accounts within the region, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for maximizing value from key client relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent military or practical experience.
  • Foodservice Equipment and Supply experience strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership, demonstrating a track record of success.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow sales teams, achieving and exceeding ambitious targets.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to drive operational improvements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, particularly in executive-level engagements.
  • Willingness and ability to travel based on regional business needs.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

Compensation includes the posted base salary range and does not reflect potential commission, incentive, bonus, or other additional compensation opportunities, where applicable. Total compensation is determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, geographic location, and other job-related compensatory factors.
In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
