Job description

Job Description Summary:

SCS is seeking a Vice President to serve as a senior subject matter expert for Addepar, Canoe, and alternative investment data workflows within Client Operations. This role will be responsible for maintaining high-quality portfolio and reporting data, strengthening operational controls, and improving the scalability of platform-driven workflows that support client reporting and investment operations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator who enjoys working at the intersection of investment data, reporting platforms, and process improvement. This person should be comfortable owning recurring workflows, solving ambiguous data issues, and helping build scalable operating practices in a growing multi-family office environment.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support key components of day-to-day Addepar data operations and reporting readiness, including portfolio data integrity, account and ownership structure maintenance, data exceptions, and recurring operational controls.
  • Participate in Canoe and alternative investment data workflows, including onboarding, document and data capture, ongoing maintenance, exception management, and coordination with internal teams and external providers.
  • Maintain and improve data quality controls across Client Operations workflows, with a focus on repeatable processes, clear ownership, and timely resolution of reporting or portfolio accounting issues.
  • Partner with Client Analytics & Reporting, Trading, and technology vendors to support platform enhancements, workflow improvements, testing, and implementation efforts.
  • Investigate and resolve complex data, reporting, and platform-related issues through root cause analysis, risk assessment, documentation, and process improvement.
  • Create and maintain documentation, procedures, and best practices that improve consistency, reduce rework, and support team knowledge-sharing.
  • Provide technical guidance to Associates and Senior Associates on Addepar, Canoe, alternative investment data workflows, and recurring operational questions, while escalating material risks or unresolved issues appropriately.

Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience in investment operations, wealth management, portfolio accounting, client reporting, fund administration, or a related financial services role.
  • Strong experience with Addepar, Canoe, or similar investment operations, reporting, or alternative investment data platforms.
  • Strong ownership mindset, client-service orientation, and ability to operate with urgency, accuracy, and sound judgment.
  • Experience supporting alternative investment operations, data management, portfolio accounting, reporting workflows, or operational controls.
  • Proven ability to own complex workflows, solve problems independently, document repeatable processes, and coordinate across teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, communication, process-management, and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex operational issues into clear next steps.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline desired.
