ABOUT THE POSITION

The Asset Maintenance Specialist provides support to the Asset Division by procuring, negotiating and managing all repair and maintenance work for trailers in the ITS network. This involves creating partnerships with and managing vendors completing work on ITS' behalf and tracking progress on ITS trailers. This role reports up through the VP of Maintenance and focuses on operational and procedural efficiencies through data analysis and collaboration. This position will interface closely with the Legal, Finance, Information Technology, Safety & Compliance and all brokerage teams.

Key responsibilities include:

· Procure quality repair and maintenance vendors across the country in the most effective and cost efficient way.

· Build partnerships with repair and maintenance vendors to maximize cost savings and efficient repairs of trailers.

· Manage repair and maintenance vendors to ensure repairs are completed timely, precisely and within scope of request work.

· Negotiate repair and maintenance work to reduce overall costs to ITS.

· Triage and diagnose trailer breakdown to clearly and concisely request appropriate repairs and maintenance.

· Daily maintenance and management of trailer data utilizing various technologies and a hyper focus on data integrity.

· Accurately record and update asset acquisitions, statuses, and locations.

· Track and report compliance with registration and insurance to meet ITS requirements.

· Optimizing organization practices via automation and efficiency, always striving toward continuous improvement.

· Other duties as assigned.

About the requirements

We're looking for a creative problem solver who enjoys negotiating and building relationships. The ideal candidate will be accustomed working in a very fast paced environment and must be adaptable. Additional requirements include:

· 1 year experience in transportation minimum required.

· Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or applicable field preferred. .

· Knowledge of freight trailers, , parts and mechanical operations.

· Knowledge of asset technology and data analytics.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Customer Service experience and service-oriented attitude.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.

· Strong work ethic.

· Night and weekend availability is required.

Compensation

Full-Time position

Contingent on Experience: $20.00 - $25.00
