Job Title: Wire Technician

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Wire Technician, where you will be responsible for assembling and wiring switchgear and controls, as well as low and medium voltage systems. You will perform precise wiring tasks, ensuring all connections meet safety standards, and follow technical drawings to wire systems according to specifications. This role requires the safe and proper use of equipment and hand tools, as well as accurate calculations and measurements using mathematical terminology. A key part of the role is to maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work area, adhering to safety procedures, rules, quality standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire switchgear and controls.
• Assemble and wire low and medium voltage systems.
• Perform precise wiring tasks, ensuring secure and safe connections.
• Follow technical drawings to wire systems according to specifications.
• Use equipment and hand tools safely and properly.
• Calculate and measure accurately using proper measurements and mathematical terminology.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, quality standards, and best practices.

Essential Skills

• Electrical skills with troubleshooting capabilities.
• Journeyman license.
• Competence in using basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and work from AC and DC schematics.
• Excellent organizational and mathematical skills.
• Attention to detail.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Broussard, LA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
