Job description

Job Title: Administrative Assistant, Full-time (37.5 hrs./wk.)

Reports to: Business Manager/Pastor

Location: Saint Katharine Drexel Church |Cape Coral, FL

Classification: Hourly/Non-exempt

Overview

Saint Katharine Drexel Parish is seeking a full time Administrative Assistant to assist with administrative and communications professional support.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain up-to-date filing systems, both hard copy and electronic.
  • Compose, proof, correct and distribute letters, memos, forms, documents, emails, faxes and bulletins.
  • Order office supplies and assist in ordering supplies needed for all special activities.
  • Schedule volunteers for offices and various ministries in the parish.
  • Maintain a calendar of office and liturgical events, staff vacations, etc.
  • Schedule and maintain the Pastoral Ministry program for the parish, including recruiting pastoral ministers and assuring they are trained and approved through Virtus.
  • Participate in special parish events (liturgical, social, administrative, etc.), taking a lead when so instructed by the pastor (administrator)
  • Work with pastor/business manager on projects and communications.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred.
  • Experience as Administrative Assistant or Office Assistant required.
  • Previous church employment/experience extremely helpful.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and oral.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Knowledge of website maintenance, Parishsoft, volgistics and flocknote a plus.
