Project Manager - Service Delivery - Remote (Central Standard Time)
The Select Group is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and execute a portfolio of projects. This role operates in two modes depending on engagement needs: leading project mobilization and setup and owning projects outright from kickoff through closeout. The right candidate is comfortable with both and will find as much satisfaction in a clean handoff as in end-to-end ownership.
The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in PM principles and thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment. They bring structured thinking and discipline to their work while remaining adaptable. They are skilled at translating client needs and statements of work into structured plans and tracking progress and ensuring timely high-quality delivery.
This individual is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining strong communication with both clients and internal teams.
We are seeking candidates located in Central Standard Time Zone so they can support coast-to-coast markets. Ideal Candidate locations: Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri

Process and Tool Proficiency
  • Builds and maintains project trackers, dashboards, and reporting structures as needed
  • Ensures strong data accuracy and system hygiene across project tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with CRM and project management platforms

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead structured project kickoffs, establishing delivery foundations including project plans, RAID logs, communication cadences, and stakeholder maps.
  • Execute clean, documented handoffs to Engagement Managers, ensuring continuity of context, open risks, and delivery status are clearly communicated.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, managing scope, schedule, milestones, and stakeholder expectations from kickoff through closeout.
  • Provide directions to consultants assigned to the engagement, ensuring work is aligned to project scope, timeline, and quality expectations.
  • Offer constructive, timely feedback to consultants to support both project outcomes and their professional development.
  • Build and maintain project schedules that reflect realistic sequencing, dependencies, and resource availability as well as project trackers, reporting dashboards, and delivery templates from scratch
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks with recommended resolution paths.
  • Track resource allocation across assigned engagements, flagging capacity conflicts and coverage gaps in advance.
  • Map cross-project dependencies and maintain visibility into how changes in one area affect delivery timelines in another.

Key Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of project management experience in a technology, consulting, or professional services environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of core PM principles and methodologies, including why the frameworks exist and how to adapt them to fit the situation.
  • Experience working with project management frameworks through practical experience.
  • Experience working within project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to build project trackers, templates, and reporting tools in Excel.
  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent certification preferred but not required. Candidates actively pursuing certification or with relevant coursework are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing status updates and facilitating project meetings.
  • Experience providing direction or informal leadership to project team members in a delivery context.
