POSITION SUMMARY
McGraw School of Business at Olivet Nazarene University seeks a full-time faculty member to support a growing degree in the School of Business beginning January 2026 or August 2026. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits are competitive.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Teach core accounting and economic courses.
  2. University service, including advising and mentoring students, supervising professional certifications, advising students organizations such as VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program), meeting with prospective students, and serving on university committees.
  3. Support of the program's continuous quality improvements, assessment, and professional certification activities.
  4. Scholarly research, accounting and or economic education initiatives, consulting, grant writing, mission projects, and presenting at technical conferences are encouraged.
  5. The ideal candidate may also contribute to QuickBooks certification initiatives in the program as well as upper division finance professional certifications.

EDUCATION
A master's degree in business, accounting or economics is required. CPA licensure and/or an earned PhD in accounting, economics or business-related field is preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The School of Business is located on the main floor of the Weber Center, on the main campus of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
The starting annual salary for this position is $47,000 - $72,000, and is based on experience and education level.
