Overview
Presbyterian Homes & Services - Mount Carmel Bluffs is seeking a Volunteer Director to join its team.
SCHEDULE: Flexible, approximately 20 hours per week
REPORTING STRUCTURE: The Volunteer Director reports to the Site Leader or designated leader.
ABOUT THIS COMMUNITY
Mount Carmel Bluffs is a shared ministry of the Sisters of Charity, BVM and Presbyterian Homes & Services. This new senior community is in a beautiful and serene location atop the bluffs of Dubuque, Iowa, overlooking the Mississippi River.
This community offers the following care options: Residential Care Facility (RCF), Residential Care Facility (RCF) with Memory Care, Long Term Care/ Care Center

Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the Volunteer Director position is to effectively plan, implement, organize and coordinate the campus volunteer program to enhance the care and services for residents.

• Receive, review and make selections of appropriate volunteers for each request in a timely manner.
• Continually assess volunteer program processes and implement changes to facilitate growth and improvement. Communicate and interpret the volunteer program to prospective clients, families, employees and community groups.
• Maintain an ongoing database of volunteer needs.
• Maintain accurate computerized records, including volunteer information and statistics.
Qualifications
  • Experience and interest in working with older adults.
  • Experience in volunteering.
  • Proven volunteer recruitment and management skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with Presbyterian Homes' mission, values and cultural philosophy.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.

Pay Range
The estimated starting pay range for this role is $21.68 - $27.11 per hour. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS's typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends on many factors including each individual employee's qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.

Full-time benefits-eligible employment begins at a minimum of 30 hours per week:
