Job description

Location: Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, NC
Worksite: On-site
Position: Part-time
Duties:
  • Lead a music worship team for the Protestant Community (PC).
  • Promote healthy spiritual growth and strengthen military readiness.
  • Recruit, train, and build a volunteer music worship team.
  • Select and prepare music for worship services, ensuring a mix of contemporary, gospel, and traditional styles.
  • Coordinate weekly rehearsals and ensure high-quality music performances.
  • Plan and lead music for seasonal services and special events.
  • Maintain and operate chapel audio-visual (AV) systems.
  • Ensure security and proper maintenance of music equipment.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience leading worship music teams in churches.
  • Proficient in reading and playing sheet music.
  • Ability to play piano at a professional level and sing simultaneously.
  • Preference for ability to play additional instruments (e.g., guitar, bass, percussion).
  • Experience in directing choirs and volunteer music teams.
  • Proficiency in various styles of Christian worship music.
  • Physical capability to handle and transport music equipment.
  • Capability to train volunteers.
