Position Summary
Ultra Maritime is seeking highly motivated and skilled Test Engineers to join our team. Successful candidates will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test equipment to support the production of complex defense systems. This role requires a strong understanding of test methodologies, automated test hardware and software, and a commitment to ensuring the highest quality standards for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test equipment
  • Develop and maintain automated test software using National Instruments LabVIEW and related tools
  • Develop and maintain test frameworks using Java.
  • Review test specifications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test equipment, software, and test methodologies.
  • Analyze test data and production yields to identify trends, root causes of failures, and areas for improvement.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to existing test equipment and processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.
  • Collaborate with design, development, and manufacturing teams to ensure testability and quality throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Participate in product design reviews and provide input on "Design for Test" and "Design for Manufacturing".
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, military specifications, and quality assurance procedures.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a test engineering role, preferably within the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment across multiple engineering and tooling disciplines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, requiring US Citizenship.

Preferred:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and maintaining test automation using National Instruments LabVIEW/C++
  • Experience with various test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system specifications.
  • Experience working in a high-volume production environment.
  • Experience with statistical tools for data analysis and visualization.

Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and 2+ years of related experience or a recognized apprenticeship.
May be required to maintain security clearance
