Job description

Position Title: International Account Executive Department: Sales / Business Development Report To: Customer Service & Business Development Manager FLSA Status: Exempt

BASIC FUNCTION: The International Account Executive is responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing strategic customer relationships for international logistics and 3PL warehouse services. This role focuses on selling integrated supply chain solutions, including warehousing, transportation, freight forwarding, distribution, fulfillment, and value-added logistics services. The ideal candidate possesses strong sales skills, international logistics knowledge, and the ability to build long-term customer partnerships while driving revenue growth.

  • Identify, develop, and secure new international and domestic business opportunities.
  • Generate leads through networking, prospecting, referrals, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Sell and operate comprehensive 3PL solutions including:
  • Warehousing
  • Distribution
  • Cross-docking
  • Inventory management
  • Import and export logistics
  • Air freight
  • Drayage
  • Truckload (TL)
  • Less-than-Truckload (LTL)
  • Customs brokerage coordination
  • Prepare pricing proposals and quotations.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Warehouse Management, Customer Service, and Transportation teams to ensure successful customer onboarding and service execution.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.
  • Resolve customer concerns and coordinate timely solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to inform sales strategies.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand the company’s presence.
  • Complete or assist on special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience within:
  • Third-Party Logistics (3PL)
  • Import/Export
  • International Transportation
  • Warehousing
  • Supply Chain Solutions
  • Strong understanding of:
  • International shipping
  • Air freight
  • Customs processes
  • Warehouse operations
  • Transportation management
  • Strong strategic skills.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
