Job Summary:
AVR, a McNamara Company, is seeking a self-motivated and driven Dispatch Customer Service Representative. This team is responsible for scheduling and assigning work for our ready-mix drivers to delivery products for our customers. The Dispatch Customer Service Representative will work closely with operations, drivers, sales and other key partners within the organization. This role is full-time and will sit on our Apple Valley office.

Position Description:
  • Communicate directly with customers to take orders, use GPS tracking software, and dispatch orders for materials in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure all orders are filled properly with the exact materials ordered by customer, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure maximum efficiency of drivers and material delivery, including moving trucks and orders to and from plants.
  • Work directly with drivers, QC, and production staff to meet customer and organization demands and expectations.
  • Act as customer contact for delivery inquiries and coordinate the full sales cycle, adjust deliveries and customer needs with strategic and swift problem-solving abilities.
  • Understand and inform customers of warnings related to product hazards, load limits, vehicle weights and limitations.
  • Review next day's orders to ensure are correctly mapped, have accurate travel times, address and delivery instruction with a strong attention to detail.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Job Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 3-5 years' experience in customer service
  • Experience using dispatch and tracking software preferred.
  • Ability to manage fast-paced work environments, multi-task and obtain a strong sense of urgency coupled with exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to keep calm in stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of the St. Paul/Minneapolis and surrounding areas, including the ability to read and understand maps.
  • Ready-mix concrete experience is preferred.
