Job description

Advanced Systems Design is seeking a ServiceNow Developer for our client located in Montgomery, AL.

This position is onsite in Montgomery, AL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, test, implement, and support solutions on the enterprise ServiceNow platform. This is a hands-on development position; applicants must have demonstrated experience writing code and developing ServiceNow solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow solutions.
  • Develop JavaScript using ServiceNow and Glide APIs.
  • Develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and ACLs.
  • Develop workflows and automation using Flow Designer.
  • Develop Service Catalog items, forms, approvals, and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain REST/SOAP API integrations.
  • Develop and support solutions across ITSM, Security Operations (SecOps), and Governance, Risk, and Compliance / Integrated Risk Management (GRC/IRM).
  • Develop solutions involving CMDB data and integrations.
  • Analyze requirements and create technical designs and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot code, integrations, workflows, and application defects.
  • Participate in testing, upgrades, releases, and production deployments.
  • Maintain technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience. Experience used to meet this requirement must be development experience, not ServiceNow administration.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, and Glide APIs.
  • Hands-on development experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Flow Designer, Service Catalog, ACLs, and REST API integrations.
  • Development experience with ServiceNow ITSM and/or SecOps and GRC/IRM.
  • Working knowledge of CMDB and Configuration Management.
  • Professional application development experience including coding, testing, implementation, and production support.
  • Systems analysis experience including requirements analysis, technical specifications, and solution design.
  • NOTE: ServiceNow administration experience does not substitute for the required development experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • ServiceNow implementation certifications related to ITSM, SecOps, or GRC/IRM.
  • Experience with IntegrationHub, ITOM, Discovery, or Service Mapping.
  • Experience developing solutions across multiple ServiceNow product areas.
  • State government or large enterprise experience.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Or 8+ years equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
