Weโ€™re seeking an energetic and self-motivated Senior Plumbing Designer with 8+ years of experience. The successful individual will have experience in the design of plumbing systems for offices, military construction, hospitals, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities. In addition, theย individual must beย comfortable consulting to architecturalย practices and have a desire to work on a multi-discipline engineering team.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Approximate Base Salary โ€“ $107,000.00 โ€“ $120,000.00, depending on experience.
  • Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
  • Competitive end-of-year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
  • Hybrid Work Schedule - Monday - Wednesday onsite, Thursday and Fridays are optional work-from-home. (Subject to change)
  • 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Capable of performing selfโ€directed design work.
  • Knowledgeable with plumbing design to include the following key areas (but not limited to):
    • Domestic Hot/Cold systems
    • Waste and Vent systems
    • Grease Waste systems, including grease interceptors
    • Condensate drainage and condensate recovery systems
    • Natural gas and propane design
    • Compressed Air
    • Lab Gasses
    • Med Gasses
  • Possess advanced plumbing design skills.
  • Proficient in CAD and BIM, including recognition of standards and the clash detection process
  • Able to train and assign work to Designers and CAD professionals
  • Works from detailed sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays, and isometric drawings.
  • Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
  • Able to design layouts, details, and overall system design for typical plumbing systems.
  • Able to work with numerous project teams to assist with project completion.
  • Extensive knowledge of codes and design and construction practices.
  • Experienced with the latest release of AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD and BIM tools common to the discipline.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience designing plumbing systems for commercial buildings.
  • B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college in related field.
  • Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) or equivalent (preferred)
  • Knowledge of relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit

Approximate Base Salary โ€“ $107,000.00 โ€“ $120,000.00, depending on experience
