QUALIFICATIONS:
  • CCNP or CCIE Datacenter Certification or equivalent Advanced technology experience is preferred
  • VMware Certified Professional - VMware Cloud Foundation Architect or higher advanced technology experience is preferred
  • Storage certifications from storage vendors (EMC, Netapp, HP etc)
  • Ability to obtain a secret or higher clearance
  • Team player who is flexible and able to work with end-users
  • An understanding of the Project Management process and ability work as a collaborative member of a team
  • Strong organization skills to prioritize work, balance and lead complex projects
  • Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior level personnel, subordinates, and team members
  • Good leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel
  • Automation experience will be a plus for this role
  • 5 or more years of experience delivering data center projects
  • Experience with various advanced VMware technologies - VCF, NSX, Aria suite, etc.
  • Experience and knowledge of data center hardware/software in Unix/Linux, VMWare and Windows Environments
  • Experience with various hyper-converged and converged solutions - Cisco UCS, Dell VxRail, etc.
  • Experience with various data protection solutions
  • Experience with software defined storage and software defined networking solutions
  • Experience with storage technologies around NetApp, EMC, HDS, HP and others
  • Experience with SAN Implementation and fabric migrations (Cisco and Brocade)
  • Familiar with Public, Hybrid and Public Cloud Offerings
  • Ability to integrate complex hardware and software systems

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $117,000.00 to $176,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

What will you be doing?
As an Engineer within WWT, you will be working on exciting infrastructure driven projects for Fortune 500 customers across all verticals. Our global infrastructure planning and deployment services deliver thousands of projects each year. From employing our methodologies at hundreds of sites to leveraging complete enterprise design services, customers trust our infrastructure experts to assess the technology they have today and design the solutions they need for tomorrow.
What will you be doing?
The Senior Engineer will serve as a Senior Data Center Engineer for data center projects. These projects may range in size from small-to-medium sized stand-alone projects or components of a much larger data transformation project encompassing multiple enterprise data centers. The engineer will serve as a trusted advisor to WWT clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This is a Hands-on role - Must have the ability to install complex DC Projects
  • Establish credibility with the customer; interfaces with customers with an emphasis on building customer relationship
  • Must be able to perform under tight timelines and schedules
  • Manage project engagements or a portions of larger enterprise engagements
  • Interact with other WWT organizations, as necessary, during engagement
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned
