Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive VMware Administrator to design, deploy, and manage a robust virtual infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware, Veeam, and Omnissa Horizon (VDI) and will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance across a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain VMware-based virtual infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  • Administer and support Omnissa Horizon environments for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
  • Manage and monitor Veeam Backup & Replication to maintain data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT and factory operations teams to implement new systems and technologies.
  • Perform system upgrades, patch management, and regular maintenance across server and virtual environments.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, providing Tier II/III technical support.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to critical system incidents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 6-8+ years of experience in VMware administration and virtual infrastructure management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and Horizon VDI.
  • Proficiency in Veeam Backup & Replication tools.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, storage systems, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a factory or production environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as VMware VCP, Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE), or similar.
  • Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools (PowerCLI, Ansible, SolarWinds, etc.).
