Job Summary:
Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a VMware Server Administrator L3 to manage and optimize VMware vSphere environments. The role involves advanced troubleshooting, disaster recovery planning, and overseeing infrastructure operations support while ensuring system security and implementing ITSM procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage VMware vSphere environments.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex VMware issues.
• Plan and execute VMware upgrades and migrations.
• Reviewing VMWare ESXi server performance
• Verifying VMWare ESXi server configuration
• Configuring VMWare ESXi for High Availability
• System security: Develop policies, procedures, and controls to secure the system
• Perform planning activities for the VxRail solution to be implemented and Support of VxRail
• System changes: Validate changes on the server, virtualization, and messaging platform by studying plans and requirements
• Disaster recovery planning: Work on disaster recovery planning, including handling disaster recovery policies and restoring databases
• Installs new applications and helps configure them including web servers, OS, and infrastructure components.
• Responsible for trouble-shooting customer VMware ESXi Infrastructure issues
• Design and implement tools and solutions for business continuity & disaster management.
• Oversee 2nd and 3rd level Infrastructure operations support on a 24x7 basis, with on-call support during off-hours for initial response to disruptions, outages and incidents.
• Implement ITSM and ITSM procedures with a focus on Incident Management, RCA/Problem Management, Change Management, Event Management, SLAs, production support, standards, and best practices for the technology organization.
• Work with peer Infrastructure and other IT Department Managers to provide input and strategic road map for Data Centre technical platforms.
• Troubleshooting OS related issues and Identifying root cause
• Hands on experience on Vcenter,ESXi servers
• Able to work Active directory creation and migration
• Should be able to identify/troubleshoot server hardware issues
• Managing multiple customers and work on multiple ticketing tools
• Experience in Windows and AD
• Good understanding of networking, storage, monitoring and management tools
• Interacting with customer
• Should be very good team player and will work with offshore technical SME with proper collaboration
