About the role
Lead solution engineering for the implementation of the Majesco Policy Administration System, with focus on core policy administration functions including product configuration, rating, underwriting rules, policy lifecycle management, commissions and billing, along with integration to surrounding digital and financial platforms. In this capacity, you will be collaborating with other engineers and architects to build cutting edge AI and automation solutions with laser focus on serving our customers in a digital first manner.
As a Senior IT Solution Engineer focused on Policy Administration platforms, you will provide engineering leadership for the implementation of the Majesco Policy Administration System supporting Voluntary Benefits with a keen focus on delivery and speed to market. This role is accountable for defining target-state and transition design, leading complex solution design decisions, and ensuring alignment across business, technology, and vendor teams.
You will bring deep hands-on experience with Majesco. In addition, prior experience modernizing or migrating from Vitech V3locity, Sapiens ID3, and legacy mainframe policy administration systems is desirable. The Senior Engineer role emphasizes strategic thinking, mentorship, and ownership of engineering outcomes across large-scale transformation initiatives.
Responsible for leading the technical requirements gathering and design sessions with stakeholders as it relates to software systems and/or applications (cloud and/or on-premises). Translates product vision to the MSP team, disseminating knowledge, technical requirements, and design documentation. Identifies and evaluates project constraints and risks. Researches and monitors new technologies, frameworks, and tools that would improve development workflows and optimize technological capabilities to meet business needs. Drives MSP to scopes, designs, and presents Proof of Concepts that have potential to become products, analyzing for technical feasibility and implementation risks. Ensures solutions are in alignment to existing enterprise architecture framework and business standards. Serves as a technical resource for design implementations across teams. Creates solution designs based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. Identifies and evaluates new technologies for implementation. Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements. Ensures solutions align to business and IT strategies. Participates in defining roadmaps for one or more applications.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Drives the solution of technical initiatives with business roadmap/strategy.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Provide strategic guidance on product roadmap and feature prioritization.
  • Leads the conceptualization, solution design, and implementation of new and existing features for the existing portfolio of applications.
  • Collaborates with architects on processes, tooling and frameworks required for the delivery of features in the sprint or product backlog.
  • Develops alternative solutions for business problems.
  • Accountable for the overall delivery of the application.
  • Analyzes complex problems and recommends solutions.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 - 10 years of related experience.

The compensation range for this role is (based on the corporate location in Lake Forest, Illinois):
$113,008.00 - $209,872.00 per year
The final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for commission.
