Job description

Aleknagik Technology, LLC is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Subject Matter Expert (AV SME) to provide expert-level technical support for audiovisual, telecommunications, and IT networking systems supporting a federal government customer.
The position requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, expert technical knowledge of AV system design, integration, installation, programming, testing, and maintenance, and an active Secret or Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, integrate, install, configure, program, test, troubleshoot, and maintain audiovisual systems.
  • Support wired, optical, and wireless IT networks and LANs.
  • Support Secure Video Teleconferencing Systems (SVTS) at multiple classification levels.
  • Provide setup and on-site technical support for virtual meetings, video calls, web conferencing, and streaming events.
  • Support TV, Cable Television (CATV), Public Address, digital signage, and video surveillance systems, including cabling and installation.
  • Design and configure AV systems utilizing Crestron control systems.
  • Program and support Crestron, AMX, and Extron systems and associated software.
  • Utilize programming languages including C++, Java, VB.NET, and SQL as required.
  • Program and maintain audio DSP systems, including QSC, Biamp, and ClearOne.
  • Troubleshoot and install AV systems at customer locations and explain system operations to technical and non-technical users.
  • Maintain programming code and client repositories.
  • Support secure telecommunications, radio, satellite, cellular, emergency communications, and COMSEC systems as required.
  • Travel occasionally to remote locations throughout the United States as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant audiovisual, telecommunications, or related technical experience.
  • Expert knowledge of AV system design, integration, installation, programming, testing, and maintenance.
  • Strong background in IT networking and telecommunications.
  • Experience with Crestron, AMX, and Extron systems.
  • Experience with Crestron programming tools, AV Framework, Crestron Toolbox, and networking protocols.
  • Experience with NetLinx Studio, TP Design, or other AMX programming software.
  • Experience programming audio DSP systems such as QSC, Biamp, and ClearOne.
  • Experience supporting secure video conferencing and classified AV environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, technical communication, and customer-support skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required government facility access.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Audiovisual Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Relevant AV certifications such as AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D, Crestron certifications, or equivalent manufacturer certifications.
  • Experience supporting the Department of State, DoD, or another federal agency.
  • Experience with secure telecommunications, COMSEC, SATCOM, HF ALE, UHF/VHF, GETS, WPS, or TSP systems.

Security and Access Requirements
  • Active Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance required.
  • Must be eligible for and able to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.

Work Environment
This position supports audiovisual and telecommunications systems within secure federal environments and may require on-site support at Department of State facilities. This position is On-Site. Occasional travel to remote locations throughout the United States may be required.
