UX Designer

This position may be offered to a candidate authorized to work in the US for his/her/their stated employer, without any restrictions which would prevent the candidate from working on the proposed assignment for the duration of the assignment period.

Location: McLean VA - Must Be Local

Absolute must haves are Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence) and Visio with a preference for experience with experience with Sketch and Draw.io. Hands on experience developing wireframes or prototypes with Visio, PowerPoint, or Confluence is required.

Position Overview:

Experience designing information and graphical architecture from a user perspective- Ensure the creation and implementation of customized experiences for the digital user- Provide guidance on the implementation of UX research techniques and testing activities to assess user behavior- Expertise in Draw.io, Microsoft Visio, Sketch, Atlassian Suite of Tools (Confluence, Jira)- Ability to create architecture diagrams, SOPs, topology documents, design documents, interactive roadmaps, interactive capability maps. 3 to 5 years of experience in scaled Agile team. Familiar with SAFE framework, as well as DevOps model. Must have 5+ years of experience in Technology industry.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct gap analysis of existing platform to identify opportunities to improve user experience.

• Develop wireframes or prototypes with Draw.io, Visio, PowerPoint, Confluence.

• Develop design solutions that adhere to these guiding principles: clarity, simplicity, efficiency, consistency and performance.

• Design experiences with various design tools.

• Visualize complex processes with the lenses of the customer journey and design optimal solutions.

• Create business requirement documentation, user stories and acceptance criteria for Agile deployments.

• Drive communications with all key stakeholders including delivering project updates and gathering project sign offs from CoE Lead and key stakeholders and maintains alignment.

Qualifications:

• Strong business analysis and functional experience with quantitative, analytical and organizational skills.

• Very proficient in PowerPoint.

• Experience with design wireframing tools to create concepts, preferred.

• Superb attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

• Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

• Highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and efficient in ambiguous situations.

• Demonstrate ability to influence stakeholders to meet objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree.
