Breast Radiologist
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a dedicated and skilled Breast Radiologist to join our partner, a leading medical center in Hattiesburg, MS. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a regional leader in breast care and a team committed to proven excellence. The role offers a perfect work-life balance with no evening, weekend, or call coverage required.
Position Overview
As a Breast Radiologist, you will have the option to focus exclusively on breast imaging, providing full-scope services in a state-of-the-art facility. Your expertise will be vital in performing screening and diagnostic mammography, ultrasound, and MRI, as well as minimally invasive biopsies with same-day diagnostics. You will work as part of a collaborative team that includes breast surgeons, oncologists, reconstructive surgeons, and women's health specialists.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret a wide range of breast imaging procedures, including mammography, ultrasound, and MRI.
  • Conduct minimally invasive biopsies and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Contribute to community engagement through breast cancer awareness outreach and support of local funds.
Qualifications
  • Required:
    • ABR or AOBR board certification is required.
    • Fellowship training in breast imaging is required.
    • A Mississippi medical license is required or must be eligible to obtain one.

    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in breast imaging is preferred.
