Job description

Mason Preparatory School is an independent Pre K-8 school dedicated to educating the whole child through strong relationships, academic excellence, and an engaging, student-centered learning environment. This role blends instructional coaching with hands-on Tier-1 technology support, with responsibilities intentionally split across both areas. Working in close partnership with the Director of Technology, the Coordinator ensures that classroom technology functions reliably while also helping faculty integrate digital tools thoughtfully and effectively into teaching and learning. This is not a purely technical support position. Reports to: Director of Technology
Schedule: Full Time; 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Occasional evenings or weekends may be required for school events.

  • Experience spanning both classroom practice and end-user technology support
  • Experience in a K-12 school environment
  • Familiarity with Veracross, Google Classroom, and Promethean systems
  • CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent technical credential

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching to faculty on effective use of instructional technology
  • Design and deliver professional development sessions on emerging tools and best practices

  • Provide monthly faculty "What's New" technology updates
  • Develop documentation and short training resources to promote independence and consistency
  • Provide Tier-1 troubleshooting for student and staff devices (Windows PCs, Chromebooks, iPads)
  • Support classroom A/V systems, including Promethean boards and peripherals
  • Assist with routine printing, copying, and classroom technology issues
  • Respond to "How do I..." questions related to Google Workspace (Drive, Gmail, Classroom), Veracross, and other instructional tools
  • Oversee day-to-day classroom technology functionality
  • Perform routine checks of app rostering and integrations (including Clever, GoGuardian, and other educational platforms)
  • Maintain documentation of recurring issues and solutions
  • Supervise students utilizing approved testing accommodations during assessments, ensuring a quiet testing environment and adherence to accommodation guidelines in coordination with faculty and academic support staff.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Teachers feel confident and supported in using instructional technology
