Systems Engineer

The Opportunity:

Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in improving cybersecurity and promoting greater standardization of simulator components by leveraging a modular open systems architecture.You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to transform operational challenges into effective technical solutions within Air Force simulation and training environments. Your proficiency in data analysis, optimization, and high-performance computing will be key to driving innovation and advancing mission capabilities.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Department of Defense simulation and training environments

  • Experience with standards such as High-Level Architecture (HLA), Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), and Open Mission Systems (OMS)

  • Experience applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF), implementing DoD security controls, and supporting system accreditation

  • Ability to architect, integrate, and manage complex systems across distributed simulation environments

  • Ability to provide constructive feedback on Air Force standards

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science field

  • IAT Level II Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Air Force or DoD acquisitions, program planning, and coordination, including use of Microsoft Project and Excel to support these activities

  • Experience with cloud technology, software virtualization and containerization,Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, and Digital Engineering (DE)

  • Experience with LAN or WAN infrastructure, remote connectivity solutions, and network hardware, including routers, bridges, and firewalls

  • Knowledge of systems engineering and standards processes based on the Systems Engineering Body of Knowledge (SeBoK)

  • Possession of excellent communication and public speaking skills

  • Top Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
