About the Team

The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Indiana is a K-12 tuition-free online public school in the state of Indiana. At VPA Indiana, we empower students to be their best by enabling them to learn in ways that are right for them – using innovative technology at home, at their proper level, and at their own pace.

Please note – while this is an online school position and all instruction occurs virtually, travel and face to face attendance will be required several times per year to support in person state testing and student events.

The Licensed School Psychologist conducts comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations; consults with school personnel and parents regarding planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group interventions; and functions as a member of the building-based Student Support Team in providing services to students.

About the Opportunity
  • Conduct virtual psychoeducational evaluations for students K through 12 according to federal, state, and school guidelines
  • Familiarity with evaluation tools
  • Complete Initial Evaluation and Re-evaluations
  • Complete Assessment Plans, Review of Records and FBAs
  • Provide virtual administration of cognitive and achievement assessments following best practice tele-assessment standards
  • Conduct other portions of the evaluation, including interviews and virtual observations, adaptive behavior, social/emotional behavior, and executive functioning assessments
  • Integrate assessment results into a comprehensive evaluation report and submit paperwork as needed
  • Present evaluation findings at meetings and collaborate with school teams regarding eligibility determination
  • Excellent knowledge of principles and evidence-based practices
  • Participating in training and meetings as needed
  • Attend Evaluation meetings to discuss results of assessments
  • Serve as a member on the MTSS/RTI Team
About You
  • Professional Indiana Psychologist License
  • Proficiency with computers and online documentation skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality
  • Demonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic
  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations
  • Ability to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicated
