Job description

A KidStrong Coach is the heartbeat of our center, delivering engaging and effective classes to kids from walking age up to 11 years old. This role requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about working with children and can maintain a fun, high-energy environment while ensuring safety and developmental progress.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

COACHING

  • Coach students by delivering an evolving curriculum that focuses on Brain, Physical, and Character development approximately 24 hours a week.
  • Achieve Coach Certification through the HQ Training and Certification team.
  • Understand the "why" behind the KidStrong curriculum and be able to clearly and concisely communicate it.
  • Coach classes for students with age groups ranging from walking to 11 years old.
  • Create positive interactions with students and families before, during, and after class.
  • Maintain dynamic, fun, and motivation. and professional demeanor when leading the class.
  • Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various programming and curriculum elements.
  • Use the KS Coaches App to record data and provide data (attendance, awards, etc.).
  • Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers.
  • Must be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum.
  • Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
  • Must be comfortable physically working with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
  • Assisting parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class.
  • Complete virtual training as required by the GM and/or HQ Training and Certification team.
  • Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by the GM.
LEADERSHIP

  • Connect with families of the center and find ways to proactively keep them engaged with KidStrong.ย 

CENTER OPERATIONS

  • Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families to align with our core values.
  • Assist in the execution of community events as necessary.
  • Daily, Weekly, and Monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center.
  • Provide excellent customer service to families and handle their needs when in the center.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passion for working with children is non-negotiable
  • Athletic or coaching background with experience working with or coaching kids ages 15 months - 11 years old
  • Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding a variety of topics
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics
  • Self-starter who just gets the job done
  • Enjoy the spotlight, excel in coaching and mentoring
