Description

UVA Imaging in Charlottesville, VA is hiring for an MRI Imaging Assistant (MRTA) position for EVENING SHIFT. We are seeking a candidate with healthcare experience who is eager to expand their skills. Evening shifts and rotating weekend availability are required.


The MRI Imaging Assistant (MRTA), working under the supervision of registered MRI technologists, supports a range of magnetic resonance procedures. This role ensures patient safety and that all services are delivered in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory standards.


As an extension of the MRI technologist, the MRTA assists with patient preparation, monitors safety, and helps maintain efficient workflow while the technologist performs imaging remotely.


Position Status: Full-Time 

Schedule: Evening hours/2nd Shift and rotating weekend day.

Location: Charlottesville, VA

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

  • One year of Healthcare experience required.

EDUCATION:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work efficiently as an extension of certified/registered staff or licensed independent practitioner.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
  • Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
